This engagement was a Rift Warden attack, followed by a large Aeldari counter-attack against the space marines. The Rift Wardens attacked the alien forces as they assaulted a supply depot and the loss of this site could be disastrous for the hivesprawl's defenders. Arthurus dispatched a force of heavy intercessors and terminators to secure the position. These units were backed up by several dreadnoughts, although they proved less effective than hoped.
After a big Rift Warden success on the first day, a lack of vehicles and the presence of Faugan on the battlefield, halted the space marine advance. On the second day, although the Rift Wardens had been successful, they had suffered numerous casualties.
