After the most recent engagement where the Aeldari showed their superiority, they suddenly withdrew their forces from the engagement lines. The Rift Wardens responded by attacking the retreating forces. Under Arthurus leadership the space marines slaughtered numerous enemy forces in close combat. But this did not hinder the Aeldari retreat. Under advisement from his captains, Arthurus did not pursue the enemy but fell back to safeguard their defences around the buried Craftworld.
