Mission: Bad Meet.
Following their recent initial victory against the Goblins, Librarian Quirion prepared a task force to move against what he perceived to be the goblin headquarters in this part of the city. He brought with him a company's worth of battle brothers into the fray. Since the Rift Wardens landing, the goblins had destroyed numerous transport links and blocked streets throughout the mega hive to halt the space marine advancement. What Quirion's forces faced was around three thousand goblin warriors and mechanised battle suits built from scrap. Undder the blazing head of the two suns, the Rift Wardens marched into battle.
The Rift Wardens reached the outskirts of the goblin territory easily. The territory was largely open plazas with little vegetation or cover. Any attempt to cross would put the space marines under heavy small arms fire. The goblins took the pause as an opportunity to launch their own attack, inflicting many casualties.
As the Rift Wardens recovered from the first wave, a second surged forth under significant covering fire. Quirion had little choice but to order his forces to pull back into the city proper. This only inspired the goblins to continue the attack, pursuing the Rift Wardens and forcing a total withdraw of the space marines, although they suffered even more casualties because of this.
